Okay so are there 2 auxiliary batteries because I keep seeing some people change a battery behind the steering wheel and another under the glove box and they all call them both "auxiliary" batteries. So what gives?
For the E-class, SL and S-class models the aux battery is typically under the hood or behind the passenger's seat (depending on model). All of these models only have 2 batteries (main and aux) as far as we know. The main battery is typically in the trunk. It can get a little confusing with the different references. Lastly, there is a siren battery (integral with the siren) for these models equipped with an alarm, but that's not related to convenience functions, only the alarm.
